The Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust (KoSDT) is appealing for people to donate any unwanted toiletries they may have been gifted.

The group posted on its social media site that donations would help alleviate "hygiene poverty" – not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene and personal grooming products most of us take for granted.

Body care and beauty products would be welcomed by the Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust.

"We are sure many of you will have received toiletries as Christmas gifts and, perhaps, you may not be able to make use of them," reads the post.

"If this is the case, we would be very grateful if they could be donated to our community food larder for the use of our customers. We have already received a donation of toiletries which have proved to be very popular."

Items can be dropped off at the KoSDT offices in Drovers Square, Ardgay, weekdays from 8.30am-4pm.
