Less than two weeks are left before the consultation closes on BT's proposal to remove 107 payphones across the region.

And Highland Council, which has the responsibility of coordinating a response to BT, is seeking "final feedback" from the public.

A spokesman said: "The council is encouraging people to look at BT's proposals and comment, giving as much information as possible about the public call boxes which have been proposed for removal."

Some 116 responses were received to the first phase of the consultation and an initial summary of this feedback is available online.

The deadline for responses to this second phase of consultation is Saturday, October 10. For more information, visit www.highland.gov.uk/consultations
