The Creich and Kincardine branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS) has said thank you to communities in its area for supporting services held at war memorials on Remembrance Sunday, November 14.

The branch was involved in events at war memorials at Ardgay, Bonar Bridge, Lairg, Rogart and Rosehall.

Branch representative David Hannah said: “It was a sad sign of the times that very few Royal British Legion Scotland members were able enough to march in parade fashion, but did attend worship at the war memorials.

“The branch would like to say a big thank-you to all our communities for their support at our acts of remembrance.

“We would particularly like to thank deputy Lord Lieutenant Christine MacKay, pipers Leanne Munro and Gillian Sutherland and Kyle of Sutherland joggers at both Ardgay and Bonar Bridge.

"The joggers did their own remembrance by running to our two war memorials and laying their tributes."
