Managers overseeing the construction of a new hall for a remote Sutherland community have announced that work on it is restarting following lockdown.
Workers on the new build Armadale Hall had to down tools some three months ago because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Good progress had been made on the project with the old hall dismantled, the foundations for the new building poured and underfloor heating and soil pipes installed.
But since March 23 the site has remained as it was left. However hall managers announced on social media this week that a restart has been made.
A hall representative said: "As Scotland's lockdown eases into phase two and construction sites start to return to work, our new village hall build is under way again.
"Local firm Norbloc Construction Ltd's team have made great progress in just two days this week. Exciting times after three months without any work on site."
The project has been made possible thanks to £425,000 funding secured from SSE Strathy North Community Fund, Caithness and North Sutherland Fund, LEADER, the Robertson Trust and local donations.
