A clothing company based in the Eastgate centre has taken a sudden decision to close its doors.

UK-wide store Joules shut its Inverness shop on May 20 after handing in its notice to the shopping complex.

Eastgate manager Chris Kershaw commented: "A decision was made to close the store by the company at the start of May to close by the end of May.

"They will be missed in the centre."

It is unclear what will be going in to the unit to replace the store.

Joules has been contacted for comment on the reasons behind the closure.
