A GOSLPIE hostelry is donating funds raised by holding a Christmas market to two local good causes.

The festive event at the Golspie Inn on December 12 will benefit The Young Karers East Sutherland (TYKES) and Caithness and Sutherland Women’s Aid (CASWA).

More than 30 stall holders attended, offering a wide range of gifts and other items, perfect for Christmas presents.

A local harpist played at the entrance to the hotel and Golspie Choral Group sang Christmas carols.

Gary Grant of Robert Grant Butchers, Golspie, donated a pig for a hog roast.

Alan Berwick, of the Golspie Inn, said: “We hope that the market will be the first of many as we intend to hold it annually.”
