Christmas fun for Brora senior citizens

More than100 Brora senior citizens sat down and enjoyed a scrumptious Christmas meal accompanied by wine and spirits in the Brora Golf Club clubhouse on Saturday night.
This was courtesy of generous sponsorship from the Kilbraur Wind Farm Trust, the local charity shop, Capaldi’s Ice Cream factory and Glenmorangie Distillery, Tain.
Everyone received a free raffle ticket for the large number of prizes donated by the the general public.
All who requested it were transported to the clubhouse and home from the venue free of charge by Cameron’s of Brora Luxury Coaches.
Chairwoman of the organising committee, Ann Gregory, thanked the Golf Club bar and kitchen staff for the excellent meal and table service.
Retired Inverbrora farmer Robbie McCall was the MC for the night with Brora’s ever faithful duo “Jim and Ian” providing the main entertainment with help from Bill and Pauline Shorthouse, golf club office staff member Jade Ross with her twin sister Bryony – with Vincent Brandao accompanying the sisters on keyboard and guitar.
Beginning the evening there was an individual dance routine performed by local 12-year-old Rowan Gillock.
