Changes at top of Go Golspie with new faces on management board

Development group Go Golspie has had a number of changes to the membership of its board of directors.

At a recent AGM Valerie Gale stood down as interim chairwoman and her husband Richard Gale as treasurer.

Both Mr and Mrs Gale have been thanked for their "hard work and dedication" to Go Golspie.

Tracey Campbell, Stacey Fraser and Dona Bruce have also left the board.

Tessa Till was welcomed to the chair while Liam Grant took up the role of treasurer. Claire Gordon agreed to continue as secretary.

At the AGM local businessman John Murray joined the board as did Liam Grant.

A Go Golspie spokesman said: "We welcome the new members and thank those leaving for all their hard work and support over many years."

New chairwoman Tessa Till recently moved to Golspie with her partner and daughter. An archaeologist, she is also an experienced solicitor and has sat on several boards over the years."

Go Golspie says: "Tessa brings with her experience in management, operations and governance.

"She is passionate about contributing to the local community and supporting the work already delivered and planned by Go Golspie.

"She is also interested in bringing new ideas to the community in relation to the promotion of local heritage and wellbeing."

Go Golspie is currently working on a number of projects.
