Celebrating 60 years together

A special 60th diamond wedding anniversary celebration and dinner was held at The Bettyhill Hotel on Wednesday last week.

Enjoying their special milestone were William (Bill) and Margaret Campbell who live at Achtoty in Skerray.

The event was organised by the ladies and members of the Skerray Indoor Bowls Club, of which Bill and Margaret are founders.

They remain very able and active members.

Bill and Margaret were very touched by the occasion and were presented with a lovely metal wall clock with their names cut into the design.

There was also a celebration cake and Bill and Margaret enthralled everyone over the after-dinner drinks with some stories of their long life together.

The couple have family who live some distance away and so there will be an extra family gathering sometime next month.

Bill turned 80 earlier this year.
