The verdict: “Hoggs weren’t quite the bonanza of last week’s escapades, however all classes were keenly bid for resulting in trade a touch sharper than that witnessed at the end of last week. Meat remains key and hoggs which are hopper fed are returning premium prices. A lot of lean ewes were forward today which were mainly lambing shed disasters. Trade, on the whole, bucked the trend of the South and were every bit as dear as last week’s sale.”
