The Rotary Club of East Sutherland continued their long running support of Oversteps by providing the speakers.

A kilted Alistair Risk kept the event on track in his role as master of ceremonies and he provided added value by reciting the Selirk Grace and also a short but inspiring Immortal Memory.

Fellow Rotarian and former soldier Alasdair Miller undertook the address to the Haggis, making good use of his Burmese knife.

The home’s catering staff served up a the traditional fare of haggis, neeps and tatties and a warming dram was provided for all present.

The event continued in fine tune as a choir from the Trefoil Guild, led by Celia Miller, performed a medley of national songs.

Mr Risk said: “It was an absolutely delightful afternoon, which Rotarians enjoyed as much as residents.
