Brora resident targeted in scam?

Yesterday, a resident within the Brora area was contacted by a company claiming to be Lombard PPI Claims Department, requesting that they forward monies into a UKASH payment account in order that their PPI claim can be completed.

Although the member of the public is currently making enquiries into a PPI claim, it is suspected that the caller who contacted them, may not be legitimate.

Enquiries are ongoing in relation to this matter. However in the meantime, it is requested that members of the public do not give out any personal or banking details, nor should they send monies by any means to any person, unless they are absoultely certain that they are happy that intended recipient is a genuine caller and entitled to receive their money.
