The traditional New Year’s Day bonfire at Brora will not now go ahead, organisers have announced.
However, the popular fireworks display that accompanies the bonfire will still take place.
A post on social media stated: “In line with current Covid advice, the Brora bonfire and fireworks team responsibly agree there should be no bonfire to gather round this year."
The fireworks display will take place at 5pm tomorrow at the River Brora estuary which has open view points from the harbour area and both sides of the river.
