More than 14 volunteers helped to build the bonfire on Saturday, December 30.

A spokesperson for the event organisers said: "Brora is very proud of the fact that its annual bonfire and fireworks display has been organised and funded entirely by the community and volunteers for more than two decades.

"Support from the Rotary Club of East Sutherland and Brora's Thrift Shop is greatly appreciated."

The spokesperson added: "Much quieter fireworks are now used in the display."
