Brora residents are being urged to take part in a survey launched today to find out the community's "priorities, hopes and needs".

The questionnaire has been issued by Brora Development Trust who say the results will help guide their work in the future.

Trust development officer Sarah Morrison said: "Brora Development Trust urges everyone in Brora and district to take time to complete the short and user-friendly questionnaire.

Anyone interested in taking part in the survey has until next Wednesday, November 9, to do so.

"The results will help guide and support the work of the trust for the next three years, identifying realistic and deliverable actions that aim to bring positive outcomes for the whole community."

The trust has also asked Brora Primary School to provide input from younger children.

The survey includes a number of questions about Brora Village Hub.

Participants are being asked to rate the community spirit in Brora and Clyne district and to say what they like and dislike about living in the area.

Residents are also being invited to suggest where improvements are needed.

A registered charity, Brora Development Trust is the new name for Brora and District Action Group (BaDAG).

Its most recent work includes a partnership with Engaging with Activity at Brora Village Hub and The Young Carers Sutherland (TYKES) to respond to an increasing need for support locally as a result of the current cost of living crisis.

The trust and its partners made breakfast packs and meal starter kits available throughout the school summer and October holidays for all children living in Brora.

The packs were available to pick up at different events, including a Brora Rangers' Mini Kickers' training session, and family fun days at Brora Village Hub.

Funding for this initiative came from the Scottish Government and the European Social Fund (ESF).

The survey, which went live on Monday, is available both online and in paper from three local outlets.

It can be accessed online at: https://surveymoney.co.uk/r/3TKZTWJ and in paper form from the Otter's Couch, Brora Library and Cunningham's.

Anyone interested in taking part has until next Wednesday, November 9, to do so.

Paper questionnaires can be returned to the collection points where return boxes are available.

Ms Morrison said: "All information will be treated in strictest confidence and no published information will refer to any individuals or households."
