Birichen sale of work returns this weekend for first time in three years

It has not been held in the past two years because of the coronavirus pandemic but the Birichen sale of work is making a welcome return to Dornoch on Saturday, November 12.

The event is organised by the Birichen Children's Party Committee which has a long and proud history – it was started during World War II by the Home Guard who raised funds by holding raffles and dances.

Proceeds from the sale of work go towards holding a children's Christmas party, including a visit from Santa with a gift. The money raised is also used to to gift local pensioners a voucher to spend in Dornoch shops.

The sale will be held at Dornoch Social Club from 10.30am on Saturday.

£1 entry includes tea/coffee and homebaking.
