Fiona Macfarlane of Bettyhill Library visited Farr Primary classes 1-3 as part of National Book Week to conduct a gifting workshop with teachers, pupils and parents.

They all sang songs, read stories and the pupils received Gifting Bags from the Scottish Book Trust.

Class teacher, Carol-Anne Farquhar, was delighted with the visit. She said: “Our class look forward to Book Week Scotland and the activities that go alongside it.

"We are very lucky to have Fiona in the village as she is a great friend of our class and creates lots of exciting activities for the children when we visit the library.

"The children enjoy the activities provided in the book bags and love having the opportunity to show these off to their parents.

"The resources provide worthwhile learning experiences for the children and it’s great that these are available for the children to take home and share."
