It's back to school day for pupils across Sutherland after summer break – and milestone first day for many

Pupils across Sutherland will join classmates throughout the Highlands in returning to school today after the long summer break.

It will be the first day at school for many new S1 pupils who are stepping up from Primary 7 following the holiday.

And there will be smiles and first day nerves at primary schools across the county too.

Both North West Sutherland Schools Group (NWSSG) and North Coast Campus posted that they were looking forward to welcoming pupils back to school.
