Wreaths were laid at Assynt War Memorial, Lochinver, on Saturday in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Deputy Lord Lieutenant David Grant laid a wreath at the monument on behalf of the Lord Lieutenancy in Sutherland.
And Dr John Morgan, representing the Assynt branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS), also laid a wreath.
Branch secretary Durrant Macleod said Highland Council had taken the lead in organising the event.
