Assynt wreath laying ceremony in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Wreaths were laid at Assynt War Memorial, Lochinver, on Saturday in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

David Grant and Dr John Morgan laid wreathes.

Deputy Lord Lieutenant David Grant laid a wreath at the monument on behalf of the Lord Lieutenancy in Sutherland.

And Dr John Morgan, representing the Assynt branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS), also laid a wreath.

Branch secretary Durrant Macleod said Highland Council had taken the lead in organising the event.
