Assynt rescue team help injured walker to safety

Mountain rescuers stretchered an injured woman walker off a Sutherland hill.

Eight members from Assynt Mountain Rescue Team went to the hiker's aid at Kylesku after the alarm was raised at 2.30pm on Thursday.

The woman suffered a lower leg injury and in a three-and-a-half operation was carried to a waiting ambulance in what was the team's 13th rescue of the year.
