Assynt Development Trust appeals for monthly donations to keep food larder at Lochinver going

Assynt Development Trust is asking people to make a monthly financial donation towards the purchase of food for its food larder.

The trust set up the food larder opposite Assynt Leisure Centre in 2020 and has since received grants and regular individual donations to stock it.

However, trust development officer Adam Pellant said: "Grants for the food larder have reduced significantly and by the end of January the bulk of our funding will be used up, with future grant funding likely to be hard to come by and lower than in the past."

The trust is now asking for monthly donations which can be handed into the trust's offices or made by bank transfer to the trust's account at RBS Ullapool - Account number 00154218; sort code 83-24-28.
