A charity who provide services to older people and adults with disabilities or health problems in Assynt is hopeful that a member of its 'talented' local community can help raise the profile of their latest project.

Community Care Assynt (CCA) were awarded funding by the Highland Council ward discretionary fund to set up a one year pilot to provide a new Information Hub at the Assynt Centre on Kirk Road.

As it is a new service, the charity are keen to design an eye catching poster and leaflet to advertise the new service – and they have turned to the local community for their help in doing so.

Aspiring designers are being encouraged to enter a £100 competition to design an A3 poster and an A4 trifold leaflet to promote the new health and wellbeing hub.

The specification includes a need to promote the hub's wide range of support topics, including loneliness, anxiety and addiction.

The charity are also keen to promote the hub's accessibility via local, national and digital links, as an "open to all" centre.

Completed entries must be emailed to gillian.campbell@communitycareassynt.org.uk by 12 noon on Friday, December 16. A winner will be chosen by the board of directors of Community Care Assynt on or before December 20, 2022.

The successful entrant will be given a voucher to the value of £100.
