Arrests made after four-vehicle A9 crash near Tain

POLICE have made two arrests following a four-vehicle accident that led to the closure of a stretch of the main trunk road through the Highlands.

The accident happened on Saturday (October 1) at around 7.50pm on the A9 near the Tain by-pass.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving four vehicles on the A9 at Tain shortly after 7.50pm on Saturday, October 1.

“There were no reported injuries. Two men, aged 18 and 17, were arrested in connection with road traffic offences and enquiries are ongoing.”
