Annual East Sutherland art show goes virtual as a result of Covoid-19

East Sutherland Art Society’s popular annual exhibition is going online because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The show will run in the virtual world for a month from Saturday, July 18 to Saturday, August 15.

Exhibition secretary Jennifer Mackenzie, Drummuie, said she anticipated that least 25 artist would show their work.

She said: “I think it will be well supported. The artists are sending me images of their paintings, which I will upload.

“People will be buying directly from the artists so they will be giving me an email or a website link - it’s not been done through the art society and we are not taking any commission.”

Mrs Mackenzie said the various awards normally presented, including best in show, would not take place this year.
