The event has been organised by music promoters Sutherland Sessions.

Anna, who is from the Black Isle but is based in Glasgow, was surrounded by folk music from an early age and joined her first ceilidh band at 13.

She was the winner of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year Award in 2003.

She recorded her first solo album in 2003 and formed the Anna Massie Band, featuring Jean Butterworth on guitar and vocals and Mairearad Green on accordion and border pipes.

The trio won the Best Band at the Scots Traditional Music Awards in 2006 and toured internationally. Anna has also played with Blazin’ Fiddles and RANT.

She is the presenter of BBC Radio Scotland’s award winning trad music programme, Travelling Folk.

Tickets for the Helmsdale concert, priced from £5- £14 are available at: https://annamassiehelmsdale.evenbrite.co.uk.

Doors open at 7pm and the concert starts at 7.30pm.
