And in the evening the company is teaming up up with Mussleburgh dance firm Room 2 Manoeuvre to present Heroes, light-hearteded show for all the family that delves into the world of superheroes and celebrity.

Events centre round the town’s Macphail Theatre and are hosted by Ullapool Dance with funding from Creative Scotland.

Heroes is choreographed and directed by Tony Mills and Jennifer Paterson. Mr Mills also performs with Beverley Grant while Ms Paterson is the artistic director.

It features a stunning fusion of aerial acrobatics, dance theatre and contemporary circus.

The show’s theme explores what it means to be a hero and takes a look at the darker side of life in the spotlight.

Workshops start from 10.30am and are for various age groups. The curtain goes up on Heroes at 7pm.

Tickets for the performance and workshops are available now from the Macphail Centre and early booking is recommended. Phone 01854 613336 or email macphailcentre@highlifehighland.com
