Achmelvich ranked among the UK's top ten beaches with over 3.5m TikTok views

A north-west Sutherland seaside hotspot has been named in the top 10 British beaches to visit this summer.

Travel and luggage experts at Bounce compiled a list of the UK’s most popular beaches according to social media, by analysing the number of TikTok views each location has received on the platform.

The results revealed north-west Sutherland beach Achmelvich as the only Scottish location to make the cut for the UK's top ten seaside getaways.

The beloved Sutherland beach was measured as having received 3.5 million views on the social media platform, TikTok.

Loch Morlich measured up as a close second in Scotland, ranking 12th overall in the UK with 1.6 million views.

With over 83.4 million TikTok views, Brighton beach took the crown as the UK’s best beach, with Weymouth Beach coming in second with a staggering 64.7 million views.

The Top 10 beaches by TikTok views:

1. Brighton beach (England) – 83,400,000

2. Weymouth beach (England) – 64,700,000

3.Kynance cove, Mount's Bay (England) – 8,500,000

4. Fistral beach, Newquay (England) – 6,900,000

5. Skegness beach, Boston (England) – 6,500,000

6. Seagrove beach, Isle of Wight (England) – 5,800,000

7. Rhossili bay, Gower Coast (Wales) – 5,500,000

8. Scarborough beach (England) – 3,900,000

9. Achmelvich beach (Scotland) – 3,500,000

10. Sennen cove, Penzance, (England) – 2,500,000
