A836 closed near Edderton Farm Cottages,

A ROAD crash has closed the A836 near to Edderton Farm Cottages.

Police made the announcement via Twitter just after 3.30pm.

"The road is currently closed in both directions as the result of a road traffic accident near to Edderton Farm Cottages," said officers.

"It is unknown how long this closure will be in place. The public are asked to avoid the area and seek an alternative route."

There was no immediate word on what vehicles were involved, or if anyone was hurt.
