More than 400 bays could be blocked off at Rose Street multi-storey car park in Inverness for the next six weeks.

A total of 422 parking spots are unavailable while Highland Council carries out repairs to floors seven, eight, nine and 10.

They will be off limits until November 30 at the latest, says the council.

The work 'relates to surface concrete repairs' says the local authority, which is spending £120,000 on the project.

The car park has a total of 850 bays for the public.

A council spokeswoman said: "This is the first phase of ongoing maintenance required to keep the car park operational as a vital service supporting the city centre.

"Further works are planned for 2024 across the lower levels of the car park. These further works will be tendered in due course to establish costs and what level of disruption will be required."
