Man (29) charged with 24 counts of vandalism to vehicles in Wester Ross village of Ullapool

A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of 24 counts of vandalism to vehicles in Ullapool.

The alleged offences took place between Saturday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 30.

The incidents happened in a number of areas in Ullapool, including Vyner Place, Morefield Place and Seaforth Road.

The man has been reported to the procurator fiscal, police said in a statement today.

Inspector Kay Macrae, from Ullapool Police Station, said: “We are aware of the distress these incidents have caused in the local community and would like to thank the public for their assistance with our enquiries.”
