In Memoriam SUTHERLAND In memory of my grandparents Hugh Sutherland and Catherine Sutherland (nee Chisholm) and also their daughter, Jessie Sutherland, aged 18 years. They all died at the family home at Gruids 100 years ago, on the 14th, 15th and 16th March respectively. They were victims of the Spanish flu outbreak after World War I. A rose bush planted by Jessie still blooms annually in their front garden. They were buried in Lairg cemetery on 17th March, 1919. Always remembered by their grandson Hugh Sutherland (Gruids) and extended family.
