MATHESON - Hugh (Hughie, Lochinver) - Julie and the family would like to express their thankfulness to the many people who have supported them in recent weeks. The assurances of prayer, cards, flowers, text messages and other acts of kindness shown to them have been truly humbling. In particular, they would like to thank those who watched the service online or attended at both the church and cemetery; Iain and Mary MacLeod, Iain and Jane Young, Paul Cuthell, The Culag Hotel and of course the staff of The Assynt Medical Practice, Highland Hospice and Raigmore Hospital for the way in which they have cared for Hughie and the family. Finally, thank you to those who contributed towards the retiral offering which now totals an amazing £1541.50 and will be used to support the ongoing good work of The Highland Hospice.
