Run Revolution

Summer Fair

Summer fair at Oversteps Care Home, Earls Cross Road, Dornoch, on Saturday 12pm-4pm. Bouncy castle, face painting, kids crafts, stalls, music, food, and lots more. All welcome.

Elm Project and Book Launch

Launch of Elm Action Map (TEAM) project and also launch of author Mandy Haggith latest book, The Lost Elms, at White Shore, Culag Woods, on Saturday 12pm. BBQ with venison and veggie burgers and lots of Elm related information and activities.

Football Match

Over 35s football match Lairg v Kinlochbervie at Ferrycroft, Lairg, on Saturday. Kick-off 3pm. BBQ and music.

Film Club

Halladale Film Club is screening Lee at Halladale Community Hall on Saturday. Doors open at 7pm and film at 7.30pm. Screenings are followed by tea, coffee, homebakes and a chance to chat. Lee is the story of photographer Elizabeth ‘Lee’ Miller, a fashion model who became an acclaimed war correspondent for Vogue magazine during World War II.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 12

Family Fun

Summer family fun on the Cathedral Green, Dornoch, on Tuesday 10.30am-11.30am. Games, crafts and snacks. Entry free but donations welcome. A Dornoch Firth Church of Scotland event.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 13

Eco Beauty Workshop

Eco beauty workshop for ages 12-16 years at Brora Learning Zone on Wednesday and Thursday (August 13-14). Make your own hair and body care products using natural ingredients and essential oils. Book for one or two days on Eventbrite. A Lairg and District Learning Centre event.

Walk and Talk

Walk and talk with Amanda Wagstaffe at Dalchork Bird Hide, Lairg, on Wednesday 10am-11am.Meet at the layby car park by the path to the bird hide. For more information, email admin@lairglearning centre.org.uk or call 01549 402050.

Guided Tour

Join a Geopark guide for a walking tour of Knockan Crag National Nature Reserve on Thursday 11am-1pm. To book visit www.nwhgeopark.com and click on the ‘whats on’ tab.

Meet and Eat

Meet and Eat at the Kyle Centre, Tongue on Thursday. No need to book, drop in from 12pm-2pm. On the menu is Thai red vegetable curry. All welcome. £5 per person.

Walk

Beach and sand dunes walk at Golspie on Thursday from 2pm. Meet at the last car park before Litteferry pier. Option of three walks of different durations. Dogs welcome. A Dornoch Firth Church of Scotland event.

Volunteering Afternoon

Culag Community Woodland Trust volunteering afternoon on Thursday 1.30pm-3.30pm. Meet outside the green shed at the main car park in Culag Woods. Please bring sturdy boots and gloves. For further information email: admin@culagwoods.org.uk.
