Made in Assynt community market at Lochinver Village Hall on Friday 10am-4pm.

Feis Air an Oir Ceilidh Trail

The Feis Air an Oir Ceilidh Trail will be performing at Cereal Bakery Tongue, on Friday and also at the Lunch Club at the Kyle Centre Tongue, 1pm-2pm. The young performers will also be at a family ceilidh dance at Tongue Village Hall on Friday evening from 7pm.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 2

Carboot Sale

Dornoch and District Community Association (DADCA) car boot sale at Dornoch Community Centre (Social Club) on Saturday 9am-12.30pm. Stalls £5.

St Andrew’s Church

Public meeting at Tongue Village Hall on Saturday 10am-11am to discuss the future of St Andrew’s Church, Tongue.

Foraging

A guided foraging walk through Gunn’s Wood, Lairg, on Saturday 10am-12pm. Learn how to safely identify edible wild plants and mushrooms. A Lairg & District Learning Centre event. Book on Eventbrite or email: manager@lairglearningcentre.org.uk.

Evening of Blues

An Evening of Blues and Beyond with the ever popular Peter Price at Rosehall Hall tomorrow. Doors open 7pm for a 7.30pm start. BYOB, raffle. Tickets £12, cash at the door.

Ceilidh

Edinburgh Sutherland Association ceilidh in Skerray Village Hall with Catriona Macleod and Anna Magee on Saturday 7.30pm-11pm. BYOB, raffle. £12 cash at the door.

Mediumship

An evening of mediumship/floral services at Borgie Breco Cabin, Borgie Wood, on Saturday, doors open 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Raffle, Lighthouse Crafts on sale. Please bring a flower of your choice, either wild or cultivated. Entry £5 includes refreshments.

Dornoch Festival Week

Make a Wee Book

Make a Wee Book with artist Rhona Graham at Bettyhill Library on Tuesday (August 5) 11am-12.30pm. Ages 9-16. A School’s Out event.

Summer Family Fun

Summer family fun at Kincardine Church Hall, Ardgay, on Tuesday (August 5) 11.30am-12.30pm. Games, crafts and snacks. A Dornoch Firth Church of Scotland event. Entry free but donations welcome.

Walk and Talk

Walk and Talk with Amanda Wagstaffe from Pedal Pursuits at Lairg on Wednesday (August 6) from 10am-11pm. Meet at Lairg Transport car park. A Lairg & District Learning Centre event. For further information, call: 01549 402050.

Walk and Talk with Amanda at Littleferry, Golspie, on Thursday (August 7) from 1.30pm ( hour-long walk). No need to book, just turn up. A Go Golspie Development Trust event.

Summer Concert

Summer Concert at St Columba’s (Tin Tabernacle), Brora, on Thursday (August 7). Music from films and Broadway as well as Scottish music. Starring Jennifer Port, Simon Scott and Monica MacLean Gold Star Band. Free admission. Tea and coffee.
