Top Ullapool fish and chips shop seeks Highland Council planning permission to turn fish shop and oyster bar area into hot takeaway with seating
An award-winning Ullapool harbour fish and chip shop is seeking permission to create a new dining area.
DM Seafoods, who operate the popular Deli-Ca-Sea takeaway, plan to change part of the West Shore Street premises from a fish shop and oyster bar to a hot food takeaway with seating.
The investment would bring several interior changes, including the removal of a glazed window and the opening of a partition wall to create a wider entrance to a 20-seat dining area.
Cosmetic improvements would include the upgrading of kitchen and wash-up areas and the installation of a new partition and door.
Standard consultation for the application to Highland Council planners ends on November 14, with a determination deadline of December 25.
Deli-Ca-Sea has won a number of awards for its fish and chips including a Beach Fish and Chips of the Year gong at this year’s Scottish Chippy Awards.
