Sutherland area health manager moving on to new post
NHS Highland’s Sutherland area manager has stepped down from the role, it has been confirmed.
Kate Kenmure, a qualified nurse and midwife, who only took up the managerial post last year, is moving on.
A spokeswoman for NHS Highland said: “Kate is moving to a new role within NHS Highland based in East Ross.”
Ms Kenmure had some thorny issues to deal with during her tenure as north area manager.
She had to combat widespread criticism from community councils over the two-year closure of the Strathy ward at Migdale Hospital, Bonar Bridge.
And she was also involved in the recent NHS Highland decision to close down Caladh Sona care home in Talmine due to staffing difficulties.
NHS Highland said the vacancy would be advertised shortly.
