Police search for man missing after early morning car crash
Searches are being carried out in a bid to find a man last seen after an early morning car crash.
Police Scotland said 43-year-old Paul Smith was last seen at about 1am on Saturday August 16 after a crash involving a Volkswagen Tiguan car on the B780, Old Greenock Road, near the Gleddoch Hotel in Langbank, Renfrewshire.
Officers are now appealing to members of the public for help in tracing the missing man who might have been injured in the crash.

Inspector Megan Logan said: “Extensive inquiries and searches are being carried out to trace Paul as we need to make sure he is safe and well.
“He may have been injured in the crash and it is vital that he gets in touch with us or his family.”
She added: “We are asking anyone who has seen Paul or knows where he might be to call us.
“If Paul hears about this appeal then please let us know you are safe and well.”
Mr Smith is described as being around 5ft 10in in height, of medium build, with brown hair.
When last seen he was wearing a black jumper and black tracksuit bottoms.
