Driver, 70, who died in crash between lorry and car in North Ayrshire named
Police have named a man who died in a crash between a lorry and a car on the A71 in North Ayrshire.
Abraham Torrance, 70, died in the incident between the Corsehillmount roundabout and Warrix interchange near Irvine on July 31.
Mr Torrance, who had been driving a grey Kia Ceed, was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident just after 11.10am.
No-one else was injured in the crash.
Constable Josh Forrester said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr Torrance, and inquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash and the events leading up to it continue.
“We are asking anyone who can assist with information, including dash-cam footage, to get in touch if they have not already spoken to officers.”
