Iconic Inverness restaurant JP at the Castle to cease trading

An Inverness restaurant has been forced to close its doors.

JP at the Castle announced on social media that it has now stopped trading.

The iconic The Castle restaurant was saved in November 2020 when it was taken over by the operators of the Jammy Piece, who have a presence at the Caledonian Canal.

However the post on social media stated that "due to circumstances beyond our control" that it would now close.

The post added that it was a "very tough and difficult decision".

Staffing issues are understood to be behind the closure.
