Art competition launched to bring 'cheer' in lockdown; Golspie kids asked to draw their favourite place in village
A children’s art competition is being run by Go Golspie Development Trust.
The contest launches on Monday and runs for a week – entries must be in by 5pm next Friday, May 1.
It is confined to nursery and primary school children at Golspie Primary School who are being asked to draw or paint their favourite place in the village.
Entrants can pick up free artist packs containing washable Crayola pens and artist pads at Ben View Stores, Ross Street.
The finished artwork along with the artist’s name, class and the word Golspie should be emailed for judging to info@gogolspie.co.uk by the deadline.
Prizes for the winners have been donated by Golspie Gala.
Go Golspie said that the art competition was to “cheer everyone up” during lockdown.
