Highlands and Islands League Cup Final

Sutherland 3

Clachnacuddin 2

Sutherland won the Highlands and Islands League Cup for the first time as they defeated Clachnacuddin in the final in a five-goal thriller.

Making their debut in competition this season, Sutherland raced into a 3–0 lead before holding off a late Clachnacuddin fightback at Station Park in Nairn.

Paige Lee Miller scored twice to give Sutherland a 2–0 lead at half time before Tracey–Anne Montgomery made it 3–0 in the second half.

Betty Ross pulled one back for Clachnacuddin from the penalty spot before Shannon Fulton made it 3–2 to set up a tense finish.

But Sutherland held on for victory to win the competition for the first time.
