Sutherland footballer nominated for league player of the year award
SUTHERLAND Women’s player Bethany Sutherland has been nominated for the Highlands and Islands Player of the Year award at the Scottish Women’s Football Awards.
She is one of four players who have been shortlisted for the prestigious accolade with the winner to be revealed next month.
Sutherland is one of four footballers who have been nominated for the award. The shortlist also includes Rebecca McMillan of Buckie Ladies along with Ross County duo Daisy Fraser and Keira Syrjanen.
Sutherland Women finished in second place in the Highlands and Islands League, two points behind champions Ross County Development.
Sutherland also reached the final of the Highlands and Islands League Cup, but lost 1-0 to Buckie in the final in Golspie.
The award winners will be revealed at a ceremony in Glasgow on Saturday, November 30 at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
