Sutherland face Caithness in the Highlands and Islands League

Sutherland look to continue their challenge for the Highlands and Islands League title when they face Caithness in Helmsdale on Sunday.

Sutherland go into the match full of confidence after thrashing Brora Rangers 10–0 in Golspie on Thursday night.

Tracey Montgomery was the star of the show as she hit five of the 10 goals as Sutherland got their league campaign back on track.

It only took Sutherland four minutes to break the deadlock as Franci Hutchison opened the scoring.

Montgomery scored the first of her five goals in the 21st minute before Hutchison scored her second of the game.

Rachael Sutherland made it 4–0 just before the half hour with Montgomery making it 5–0 nine minutes before half time.

In the second half Montgomery then scored three goals in the space of seven minutes to make it 8–0 before the hour mark.

The ninth goal came eight minutes before full time through Megan Mackay before Bethany Sutherland completed the rout in the final minute of normal time.

Brora Rangers are not scheduled to play again until Sunday, May 15 when they face Clachnacuddin.
