BONAR Bridge and Scourie have been pointless this season in North Caledonian League Division Two.
But that is about to change tomorrow.
The two teams will meet at Migdale in the Sutherland derby as both look to pick up their first points of the campaign.
Bonar Bridge were seconds away from registering their first point of the season when an injury-time goal saw them lose 2–1 to Inverness Athletic.
Manager Robert Mitchell says the manner of the defeat to Athletic at Migdale was a hard one to take for his squad.
But he says the team are determined to put last week’s agony behind them.
“It was a hard one to take, especially at that stage of the game, but we shot ourselves in the foot.
“This weekend is a game where we will be targeting all three points, but Scourie will be saying the same thing.
“However, if the performance is there we will back ourselves.”
After losing 5–1 to Nairn County last week, Scourie manager Tony Reynoldson says it was still an encouraging performance that gives them confidence they can get a positive result.
“Everyone in the squad is looking forward to the game, especially as we feel we should have got something against Nairn,” said Reynoldson.
“At the start of the season, we were looking to win at least three games in our first season.
“We are looking to go there and get some points.”
