This campaign has already been a marked improvement for Bonar Bridge, who have already beaten their points total from last season.

They are in ninth place in the 12-team division on 14 points with four wins and two draws from their 15 games so far.

Saturday is their last chance of silverware this season, but they face a tough task when they take on title challengers Inverness Athletic.

Tomorrow’s visitors have already won the Football Times Cup, when they defeated Alness United 3-1 last month.

It was the first time that Inverness Athletic won a trophy since they were established in 2016.

Meanwhile Bunillidh Thistle will look to progress to the last eight of the competition when they take on Alness United at Dalmore Park tomorrow afternoon.

It has been a tough comeback season for the Helmsdale outfit, who returned to the North Caledonian League after a four year absence.

They are currently bottom of the North Caledonian League on four points, with just one win and one draw from the 13 games.

But they will have been encouraged by results before the winter break, which included a 2-0 win over Thurso and a 2-2 draw with St Duthus.

One quarter final match is taking place with Golspie Sutherland set to travel to Kirkwall to face Orkney.

Golspie are having a good season in the North Caledonian League as they find themselves in third place in the North Caledonian League.

They are on 33 points, nine points behind league leaders Halkirk United with two games in hand.

Two other North Caledonian Cup first round clashes take place tomorrow.

Clachnacuddin A take on Invergordon and league leaders Halkirk United are set to welcome Tain outfit St Duthus to Morrison Park.

All matches in the North Caledonian League were called off last weekend due to weather.
