Luke Stoltman and Tom Stoltman make strong start at World Strongest Man as Invergordon brothers both win opening two rounds in qualification groups

World champion Tom Stoltman and European champion Luke Stoltman both won their opening two rounds in their qualification groups at the 2022 World's Strongest Man.

The Invergordon brothers began their bid to become world champion in Sacramento yesterday.

Tom (27) who won the title last year won the loading race in 38.39 seconds and the deadlift ladder with five reps in 51.46 seconds.

He leads qualification group one with 12 points, three points ahead of Kevin Faires of USA and five points ahead of Gabriel Rheaume of Canada in third.

Luke (37) in qualification group five, won the loading race in 37.95 seconds and the deadlift ladder with four reps in 42.87 seconds.

He also leads his group with 12 points, four points ahead of Jean-Stephen Coraboeuf of France in second and five points ahead of Kelvin De Ruiter of the Netherlands and Eythor Ingolfsson Melsted of Iceland in third.

Round three and round four take place today with the car walk and the log lift.
