Royal Dornoch golfer wins James Braid Open at Brora by 11 shots

Chris Mailley cruised to victory at the James Braid Open at Brora Golf Club winning the title by 11 shots.

The Royal Dornoch Golf Club member, who also won the Brora Golf Club Championship last week, lifted the trophy with rounds of 65 and 67 for a total of 132.

His nearest challengers were Willy Hutton of Pitlochry Golf Club with a 74 and 69 and Ross Naismith 71 and 72 who both finished on 143.

Hutton took second place thanks to a better inward half.

Allan Bokas won the handicap title.
