ROYAL Dornoch Golf Club has been shortlisted for another prestigious accolade.

Its Championship Course has been unveiled as a “Scotland: Course of the Year” finalist in The Golf Course Awards 2024.

The ceremony takes place at Shangri-La, The Shard in London on Thursday, December 5.

Club general manager Neil Hampton (pictured) has welcomed the latest recognition coming the way of Royal Dornoch Golf Club.

It follows hard on the heels of an award as the UK Junior Club of the Year from the Golf Foundation in October.

He said: “It is always nice to be in the mix when awards are being handed out,” he said as the club are in the running.

“ It is encouraging to build on the positive responses we have enjoyed after the sympathetic changes carried out in recent years to holes seven and eight.”

In July, Royal Dornoch was ranked second in the world in Golf Digest’s World Greatest Courses.
