All eight teams are set to return to North West Sutherland Amateur League action tomorrow.

With an unblemished record in all competitions thus far, Lairg Rovers have emerged as the team to beat in the 2022 season.

Having already secured their spot in the Stafford Cup final and a second round place in the Highland Amateur Cup, Scott Cowan’s charges have been active since April.

They are looking to make it two wins from two on Saturday when they travel to Melvich.

The agenda for their opponents will be to bounce back from a 6–1 opening weekend defeat away to Inver. The game will be the first played at the north Sutherland team’s ground since 2019 as a result of the pandemic.

Elsewhere League leaders Inver will look to stay top of the division when they travel to Ullapool as they take on Lochbroom.

They will aim to come out on top of the Ross-shire derby will look to put the disappointment of being thrashed by Lairg Rovers 6–2 in the first round of the Highland Amateur Cup last weekend.

Lochbroom suffered a 1–0 defeat to Lairg Rovers on the opening day of the campaign as they look for their first points in the league.

But they will go into the clash in confident mood after defeating Caithness First Division outfit John O’Groats 4–2 in the Highland Amateur Cup first round last weekend.

At Stafford Park, Golspie Stafford and Lochinver will both be aiming to pick up their first points of the league campaign after they both endured a winless start a fortnight ago.

Golspie Stafford suffered a 2–1 defeat against Helmsdale United on the opening day of the season at Couper Park.

But they will be encouraged they can get back to winning ways in the league, after a sensational 3–2 win over Caithness First Division outfit Thurso Acks in the Highland Amateur Cup first round.

Lochinver suffered a 4–3 defeat to Dornoch City on the opening day of the campaign.

Dornoch and Helmsdale United, meanwhile, will both have eyes on maintaining maximum points in the table when they meet at the Meadows.

Fixtures for May 21:

Golspie Stafford v Lochinver (12pm)

Lochbroom v Inver (12.30pm)

Melvich v Lairg Rovers (2pm)

Dornoch v Helmsdale United (3pm)
