Scourie made history by playing their first game in the North Caledonian League at Achlochan Park but were unable to avoid defeat against Inverness Athletic.

It was an improved performance from Scourie's 11-1 defeat on the opening day of the season to Loch Ness in Inverness.

Athletic took the lead from Luke Mackay whose low strike from the edge of the box found the bottom right corner.

Athletic doubled their lead with a stunning strike from Lewis Macleod who unleashed a unstoppable strike over the goalkeeper's head.

Mackay got his second of the afternoon with a cracking strike from the edge of the box.

Sam Ross came off the bench to net a fourth for Athletic after turning in a Matty Shewan cross.
